Free Hugs

Have you ever heard about 'Free Hugs'? Agak telat sebenernya ngebahas tentang hal ini, since it was invited by Juan Mann at 2004 and popular in 2006. I think I saw about this campaign at one of Oprah's episode back then. And I think that was a very brilliant idea that ever came to someone's mind.

The hugs are meant to be random act of kindness - selfless acts performed just to make others feel better.

Dan kenapa tiba-tiba gue pengen membahas hal ini? Sebenernya karena habis blog-walking dan nemu foto 'Free Hugs'. Free Hugs ini pun udah pernah diadain di Chile, Buenos Aires, Tokyo, Sydney and many more. Pengen deh rasanya ngadain di Jakarta (setau gue belom ada) semoga aja ga langsung ditimpukin FPI, hehe.
Because I do think that hug is the most powerful remedy of a broken heart and other sad feelings, don't you think? The comfort hug from your mother, the warm hug from a very-bestfriend, the passionate hug from a lover, aren't that's why we still live in this cruel world? Realizing that after all the pain, maybe all you need is just a hug to tell you;

'everything will be just fine'

Asal jangan di salah gunakan aja ya, since the point of the campaign is to show the world that real love does exist, something that doesn't cost you at all. And comfort doesn't always have to come from your loved one, but also from someone you barely know (in this campaign), it's all about good motives, don't you think?
Enuff said, maybe I'll go to 'Bundaran HI' and start this campaign someday. Hopefully I won't shoot by the police officers. Cheers, people. :)

She & Him

Okay, this is one of my favorite duet, She & Him.

This duet combined two unique people that finally made a great music, Zooey Deschanel and Matt Ward. One of my favorite song is, 'Why Do You Let Me Stay" and I love the video (the one with Zooey and Joseph Gordon Levitt) so much! Well, now let me share you their story. I took this from here.

She & Him make music for an eternal springtime, when the temperature is warm enough to go riding with the top (or at least the windows) rolled down and the radio turned up. They occupy an alternate universe where the saddest of songs feel as warm as sun showers; the rain may be coming down, but somewhere nearby, everything looks bright. What began as a fascinating, no-strings attached collaboration on 2008’s Volume One has evolved into a bona fide, touring band, and She & Him are here to stay. Zooey Deschanel and Matt Ward are as comfortable and complementary a musical pair as Les Paul and Mary Ford; hearing them again on Volume Two feels like getting together with two old friends. This time, the harmonies have grown more angelically layered, the string arrangements more dramatic, the songwriting even sharper and more confident. But, as with Volume One, the prevailing mood is bittersweet, dreamy, and romantic.

Oh yes, I'm a Gleek. (sebutan buat die hard fans Glee)
What's Glee anyway? Hemm, gue sangsi kalo ada yang belom tau Glee, tapi gue akan berusaha ngasih brief explanation disini.

Glee is such a musical tv serial. Just like Gossip Girls, Grey's Anatomy, (I just realized that my three fav. tv series come up with G as their first alphabet, wow!) those kind of tv series but with musics on it.

The series follows an optimistic teacher, WILL SCHUESTER (Matthew Morrison), who - against all odds and a malicious cheerleading coach - attempts to save McKinley High's Glee Club from obscurity, while helping a group of aspiring underdogs realize their true star potential. It's a tall order when the brightest stars of the group include KURT (Chris Colfer), a soprano who hits a high note in fashion; MERCEDES (Amber Riley), a larger-than-life diva with a voice to match; ARTIE (Kevin McHale), a geeky guitarist who rocks and rolls; and TINA (Jenna Ushkowitz), a punk rocker who hides behind her stutter and blue hair extensions.

Will's only hope lies with two true talents: RACHEL BERRY (Lea Michele), a self-proclaimed star who is convinced that MySpace and show choir and are her tickets to fame; and FINN HUDSON (Cory Monteith), the popular high school quarterback with movie star looks who must protect his reputation from his holier-than-thou girlfriend and "Cheerios" head cheerleader, QUINN (Dianna Agron), and his arrogant football teammate, PUCK (Mark Salling).

Why I love this one? Since Music is my first love, musical things are my favorite. The story is original and has no follower yet and the songs are amazing. :D So far, I love It's my life/confession, Keep Holding On and Don't Stop Believing (of course!) performed by Glee Casts.
The cute Kurt and ambitious Rachel is my favorite cast. :) But............. since I watched Glee in Indovision (In Indovision we watch Glee in Star World, not in Fox like it should be) and it's lil' bit late. :(

I'm a moody person and also a dead liner. I am good at writing when I feel depressed or down. I did my job fast and nice when the deadline is getting closer. Not to be boastful or something, in fact I do lil' bit disturbed with my moody mind which can't do something right without pressure. I guess that's why I had too much stupid events in my life and not to lie, adrenalin rush is something I love in some cases.

Sedangkan buat Mas Ello, emhh, karenaaa.... jarang-jarang gue suka sama artis Indonesia. Sekalinya gue suka, gue mau mengabadikanya di blog gue. Penting abis emang. Hehehe..
Tapi harap diingat bahwa gue adalah orang yang bisa -sangat- cepat bosan. Jadi, there's always a possibility that I'm no longer in love with these men. Like they know and care. Hahaha...

• And the train accident. No, I'm not having a train accident but, my train did. So that, I got late for my exam. Alhamdulillah, I still have a chance to fix things up and passed that subject. Thanks to my super-lecturer, Ms. Selvy Monalisa.

Seriously, It's a lil' bit hard to remember things since I have some kinda short-term memory disease. Kidding, hehe. But I think these -up there- are moments that I won't forget and make me grateful that I have this year. :)

I guess we already in our way to say Good Bye to 2009 and say Welcome to 2010.

i just got CD from wira.
he gave me that since i've been worrying a lot about separated-for-one-month-and-he-is-in-another-island. yeah he's home right now. and i have to say i'm not good at long distance relationship. very bad indeed. that's why he wants me to relax and gave me this. the title he gave is 'I'll be back'. very sweet of him. i always think he's kinda another too-manly-man-and-not-romantic, but he proved i was wrong. :)

gue baru dapet The Best of Cardigans yang 2 CD and it's SO MUCHHH FUN!!! (thx babe :))

gue nyanyi lagu ini berkali-kali dan gue yakin cowok gue yang denger gue nyanyi ini mulu udah bosen. hahaaha. but, whatever. yang gue suka dari lagu-lagu the cardigans adalah, it's nice in a rebel way. different and unusual. dan yang pasti gue suka sama vocalist-nya yaitu nina persson. she has a strong voice, not hard and cool indeed. my tipe of girl. *i'm not lesbian anyway. TRUST ME! :p

gue menginterpretasikan lagu ini adalah tentang seorang cewek yang fall in love sama seorang cowok. pada awalnya dia ga sadar dan dia ga mau jatuh cinta sama cowok itu, but, for what is worse, she really did!

I LOVE THIS SONG! setiap nyalain i-tunes sambil ngenet di laptop pasti lagu ini ga pernah ketinggalan gue puter. :) LOVELY. LOVELY. akhir-akhir ini gue lagi suka oasis. buat yang ga suka, coba di search lagu ini. selain itu, gue juga suka champange supernova dan don't look back in anger. SUPER NICE song! adek gue juga suka banget -ternyata-!

lagu-lagu oasis juga unik-unik menurut gue, soalnya menggunakan kata-kata yang ga biasa. jadi lo bisa menginterpretasikan lagunya dengan berbagai artian. that's what i like! dan gue paling suka kata-kata yang gue bold dan pink-in itu.

he doesn't said a simple word like 'I LOVE YOU', but he said 'I don't believe that anybody feels the way i do about you now' which for me, means deeper -much more!- cos it means that the way he felt is deeper than anyone did. ASTONISHING!
